Project Manager – Parliamentary Refurbishment – Westminster

We are currently supporting a leading UK construction and engineering services provider on the appointment of a Project Manager to join their team delivering a high-profile parliamentary refurbishment project in Westminster, London.

This is an urgent contract requirement, suited to a Project Manager with an architectural background and experience managing complex refurbishment projects from early design development through to completion. The successful candidate will oversee the project from RIBA Stage 2 through to Stage 6, coordinating design development, delivery and project stakeholders throughout the process.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Management

Take ownership of the project from RIBA Stage 2 through to Stage 6, overseeing progress from initial design development through construction, completion and handover.

Design Coordination

Work closely with architects, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to coordinate design information, resolve issues and ensure the project progresses in line with the agreed requirements.

Programme & Progress Monitoring

Monitor project milestones, programme performance and key deliverables, identifying potential delays and coordinating appropriate actions to maintain progress.

Stakeholder Management

Manage communication between the client, design teams and delivery teams, ensuring project requirements are understood and that decisions and actions are followed through effectively.

Quality & Project Compliance

Ensure refurbishment works are delivered in accordance with the agreed design, project specifications, quality standards and relevant project requirements, through to final completion and handover.

Requirements

* Background in architecture, architectural design management or a closely related discipline, with experience managing refurbishment or complex building projects.

* Experience overseeing projects across multiple RIBA stages, ideally from Stage 2 through to Stage 6.

* Experience working on projects within complex, sensitive or heritage environments would be advantageous.

* Must be based within a commutable distance of Westminster

Contract Details

Rate: £375–£400 per day

Duration: Approximately 6 months, subject to project requirements

Start: Immediate start required, subject to successful security clearance
