The Opportunity

We are working with a leading specialist contractor delivering major network infrastructure and building technology packages across some of London's most prestigious commercial developments.

Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of a significant structured cabling and network infrastructure package on a major Central London development.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business with a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects, offering long-term career progression and an excellent benefits package.

The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final commissioning and handover, managing packages typically valued between £2m and £3m.

The Role

Reporting into the senior management team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of structured cabling and integrated network infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the design, pre-construction, installation and handover of structured cabling and network infrastructure packages.

Overseeing CAT6A copper cabling, fibre optic installations, network backbones, containment and associated infrastructure.

Managing specialist subcontractors, installation teams and project resources.

Working closely with main contractors, consultants, clients and other building services trades to ensure full coordination of works.

Developing and managing project programmes, procurement schedules and installation strategies.

Taking commercial responsibility for projects, including cost control, forecasting, variations and financial reporting.

Managing technical submissions, RFIs, design coordination and project documentation.

Overseeing testing, certification, commissioning and final project handover.

Identifying project risks and implementing practical solutions to maintain programme and commercial performance.

Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience Required

We are particularly interested in speaking with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers who have gained their experience with established structured cabling, ICT infrastructure or specialist network installation contractors.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Proven experience managing structured cabling and network infrastructure projects within the commercial construction sector.

Strong technical knowledge of CAT6A cabling, fibre optic systems and associated passive network infrastructure.

Experience managing projects or specialist packages valued around £2m–£3m.

A background delivering projects from pre-construction through to installation, testing and handover.

Experience working alongside Tier 1 main contractors on major commercial developments.

Strong commercial awareness, including project forecasting, cost management and variation control.

The ability to manage and motivate installation teams and specialist subcontractors.

Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.

A good understanding of construction programmes, health and safety requirements and quality assurance procedures.

Candidates with an electrical or ELV background will also be considered, provided they have substantial experience delivering structured cabling and network infrastructure projects.

What's on Offer?

This is an opportunity to join a well-established business delivering major commercial projects across London, with a strong pipeline of future work.

The package includes:

Basic salary: £75,000–£80,000

Annual bonus: Up to 14% discretionary

Car allowance: £5,000 per annum or company car

Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays
