Job description
Some opportunities come along when a business is still building itself rather than settling into its shape. This is one of them.
An award-winning construction and development consultancy is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its Birmingham team. Birmingham is a key growth area for the practice, and whoever joins now will help shape how the office operates, who comes in around them, and what the next few years look like.
The role
* Consultancy Employer’s Agent / Project Management role, delivering early RIBA Stage work across healthcare, education and commercial developments across the Midlands
* Real variety in the project book, working alongside project, cost, development and sustainability specialists
* Bespoke, hands-on delivery rather than process-driven, off-the-shelf solutions
About you
* Senior PM with extensive consultancy and/or client-side experience
* Proven delivery under JCT and NEC contracts, including contract administration
* Confident acting as Employer’s Agent, covering certification, change control and commercial management
* Strong RIBA Plan of Work knowledge, from early stages through to completion
* Skilled at managing design teams, contractors and stakeholders
* Commercially aware, with a good grip on programme, budget and risk
* Confident leading client relationships at senior level
* Degree-qualified, with MRICS or MAPM (or working towards)
* Healthcare, education or commercial experience is desirable
The culture and package
A collaborative, down-to-earth business that backs its people and invests in where they’re going. Hybrid working is standard, and the benefits go well beyond the usual: very generous leave, enhanced family pay, life insurance and income protection, private health cover, and support for further study and professional development.
If you’re a PM who wants more ownership, more variety, and the chance to help build something rather than maintain it, I’d love to have a conversation. Even if you’re not actively looking, it’s worth a chat.
